Home Awnings

Home Awnings are articles that are designed to fit to the outside of a house, chalet or any other type of building if desired. They are designed to provide shade and protection from the weather such as glaring hot sun or rain and wind etc. They may be permanent fixtures or semi-permanent and many are designed to be retractable so they may be 'stored away' when they are not needed.

In hot countries they are generally used as sun screens, while in cooler climates they may be required to offer protection from both sunlight and rainy weather.

Home awnings can add a touch of 'continental style' to a home or building and there are many awnings on the market today that will fit into almost any environments surroundings and enhance the buildings appearance.

There are different types of awnings available for all types of light/shade applications and some of these are;

- Retractable awnings
- Vertical awnings
- Pergola awnings
- Sunscreens

Retractable awnings offer the perfect solution to individual sun and shade needs. They can be custom made to suit almost any application and the aesthetics make them valuable additions to residential properties.

Self installation may be undertaken by anyone who is fit and capable of using a power drill.

The self supporting construction of many of these types of awnings is designed to allow efficient installation. These awning manufacturers can be wall mounted, roof mounted or ceiling mounted. Once the two or more brackets are bolted to the wall or ceiling, the awning can be easily slipped into the brackets and instantly deployed.
